Game Field Policy
In accordance with HCSA rules, game fields are for GAMES ONLY. There is NO PRACTICING ON GAME FIELDS! If you have a question about a field assignment, please contact a board member or Carol Hayes.

What's New At HCSA
Spring Soccer Registration
Sign up for our Spring 2010 Outdoor soccer season will be January 30– February 13, 2010 online or at the Hartland Community Education (HCEC) office starting Feb 1st. Your child(ren) must have been born between 8-1-91 and 7-31-05 to be eligible to play. New players must present a birth certificate when registering. We offer coed, all girls, all boys, in-house and travel teams. The cost is $75 - $90+ for in house and $110 + for travel.
Registration Dates:
- Saturday – Sunday, Jan 30th–Feb 13th, Online at www.hartlandcommunityed.com
- Monday-Friday, Feb 1st-Feb 12th , Community Ed Office, 8:00a.m.-6:00p.m.
- Sunday, Jan 31st, Ore Creek Middle School, 1:00p.m.-5:00p.m.
Returning players will stay on the same team as the fall. New players are welcome and encouraged to sign up. Special requests only with approval of Soccer Board.
Note: If inhouse players need a reversible jersey, there is an additional $10 charge.
Fall 2009 WSSL Champions
HCSA is proud of the fine accomplishments of all of our Select and Recreational Travel teams during this fall season. HCSA is pleased to recognize the following eight teams for capturing FIRST PLACE in their respective divisions. Congratulations!
Hartland Eagles HSO Select Girls: Division 3. Record: 9-0-0.
Hartland Eagles U14 Select Girls: Division 1. (Tied for first.) Record: 5-1-4.
Hartland Thunder U12 Select Girls: Division 6. Record: 6-2-0.
Hartland Vipers U11 Select Boys: Division 6. (Tied for first.) Record: 6-3-1.
Hartland Hurricanes U10 Select Girls: Division 3. Record: 6-1-1.
Hartland Thunderbolts U10 Select Girls: Division 6. Record: 8-1-1.
Hartland Hawks U9 Select Boys: Division 4. Record: 8-0-0.
Hartland Eagles U9 Recreational Boys: Division White. Record: 8-0-0.

Congratulations to the Hartland Thunder U12 Girls Team!
Congratulations to the Hartland Thunder U12 Girls team for clinching the WSSL Division 6 championship! On October 24th, the team won back-to-back games to capture first place with a record of 6-2-0. Over the course of the season, the Thunder scored 12 goals and excelled at defense, allowing only 7 goals.
The team is coached by Gary Wright, assisted by Jack Bowen and managed by Maureen Wright. The girls also received excellent training from Stephen McPhillips of B.E.S.T.

Hartland Soccer Board Openings
Do you and/or your kids love soccer? Looking for ways to get involved? WE NEED YOU!
Come to our monthly soccer board meetings, normally the 2nd Sunday of every month. On November 8 at 7pm at the HESSC lobby we will be having our Annual General Meeting to elect new board members. The following positions are either open or up for re-election in November 2009:
- Vice-President
- Secretary
- Registrar
- MSYSA Representative
- WSSL Representative
- Referee Scheduler
- Communications Coordinator
- Concessions Coordinator
All parents with children in the soccer program are eligible to vote and run for a board position. If you have any questions regarding these positions, please see a board member at the Farms fields or visit our Contact page to send an email message to a board member.
Congratulations to the Hartland Vipers U11 Boys Team!
This past weekend at the Capital Area Classic Tournament in Lansing, the Hartland Vipers U11 Boys team won all three qualifying games and went on to win the championship in their bracket. The Vipers scored 10 goals during the tournament.
The team is coached by Bret Hoffman, assisted by Jim Mayer and Dan Boik.

Congratulations to the Hartland Eagles HSO Girls Team!
This past weekend at the Capital Area Classic Tournament in Lansing, the Hartland Eagles HSO Girls team went 3-0-1 with 8 goals for and 2 goals against en route to a finals victory against The Mason Blast 4-0. Team defense and goaltending was outstanding as the girls systematically dismantled each team with exceptional team soccer skills!
The team is coached by Doug Hayes and Kai Jensen and focus training by Stephen McPhillips from B.E.S.T. The team is currently 2-0 in the WSSL HSO division 3 with a 14-0 goal differential.
These girls are really experiencing the benefit from Bonnie Kussmaul’s Speed and Agility training and B.E.S.T. trainer Stephen McPhillips, and they are really starting to gel as a team of Freshman through Seniors. Congratulations, Eagles!

Congratulations to the Hartland Hawks U9 Boys Team!
The Hartland Hawks U9 Select Boys team won the Midland Fusion Invitational Tournament, held August 28-30th, 2009. The boys were undefeated in four games. The team scored 41 goals and allowed 8 goals. This was the team’s first tournament and they are looking forward to a great season! They are coached by Lonnie Spires and Tom Kantola. Good luck, Hawks!
